Church News
The Covenant of Peace church building us up, the internal framing is done. The heating and air conditioning is nearly installed. And the drywall, carpeting and so forth will be done after the first of the year. The volunteers of the Central Alabama Builders for Christ led by Johnny Horton have done a wonderful job. The congregation is about $10,000 short of the funding needed to complete the work and move in. If you can make a contribution, you can send it to the PBA. Not a bad thing to do at Christmas time.
Pray for our Hispanic Church in Aliceville. Many of the members and worshipers in Neuava Vida will be leaving for their home countries this month with the hope of getting a visa and returning. Pray that the church will pass through this time of change. Pray that those who are not able to return will be strong in the faith and serve as lay missionaries in the homelands. Marcus has been deligent in discipling the members of the congregation. So, pray that much good for the Kingdom will come from this time of transition.
Several PBA churches participated in community wide Thanksgiving worship and meals. Ethelsville hosted Mineral Springs and others on November 22. Bethlehem hosted Arbor Springs, and Friendship on November 20th. Aliceville First will participate in a Community Thanksgiving Service on November 20th and have a Christmas Tree Lighting at 5:00 pm on November 27th.
Bro. Eugene Junkin is now the interim at Springhill Baptist Church in the Sipsey Association.
We look forward to the opening of the new building at Highland which is almost complete.
