Calvary, Fayette had five members that went on a mission trip to Guatemala Nov. 28 – Dec. 5.

Mt. Pleasant recently had a group of volunteers that went to Atlanta to work at the Operation Christmas Child warehouse. Also, the church was a relay center for the Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes again this year. Many of our PBA churches participated in the OCC project this year.

Carrollton will host Rock Hard Winterfest for youth on Dec. 18 – 19 at 7:00 p.m. each night. Speakers will be Jeremy Burrage and Derek Hamilton. There will also be 2 different bands as well. All area youth are invited to attend.

Youth from Highland, Hickory Grove, & Mineral Springs will attend the Xtreme Conference in Gatlinburg at the end of December.

Mineral Springs youth are doing a Lottie Moon Post Office at their church in an effort to help the church reach & even exceed its goal for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.

Bethlehem recently called Craig Holliman as Interim Pastor. He is married to Roxann, and has two sons, Parker and Andon. We welcome them to our association.

Covenant of Peace is running in the 50’s in worship. Several persons have joined.

Reform First has called Tim Meherg as pastor. We welcome he & his wife, Peggy, and children Mason, McKinley, and Major to our association. He will be on the field the first Sunday in January.

The Pickens Baptist Association is a family of 36 Baptist congregations in west Alabama. The Association sits east of Columbus, Mississippi, and west of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. It cooperates with the Alabama Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention. It is a rural missions environment and has a long and proud history of sending its members out into the international missions field.
